About Arthur Walterson

Hi, my name is Arthur Walterson, as you’ve probably figured out by now. I’m a writer of various genres: science fiction, fantasy, gothic, horror, psychological horror/thriller, speculative, and just regular fiction. I’ve been writing for six years now, and my style has changed (and improved, hopefully) quite a bit over that time.

I’m a senior in college (about to graduate) at the time of writing this, working on finishing up a BA in Mathematics and Natural Science. Those are probably what I’m best at and interest me the most, though I also have many other academic interests such as psychology, philosophy, music, and of course, literature. I read a lot in addition to my writing.

I’d say my main creative influences (in any way) are:

Ryohgo Narita (writer of Baccano! and Durarara!!), Salvador Dali, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Ursula K. Le Guin (particularly her Earthsea series), Philip K. Dick, Hugh Laurie (as Dr. House), H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Edmund McMillen (creator of The Binding of Isaac), Hunter S. Thompson, Quentin Tarantino, Douglas Adams, Brand New (the band), Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange, specifically), Oldboy (2003), the Saw series, Bojack Horseman, Psycho-Pass, Charles Dickens, The Twilight Zone, Ancient Egyptian mythology, the entire city of Philadelphia, drugs, and probably a bunch of other stuff I can’t think of right now.

Just to let you know, pretty much everything on here is a first draft. So some amount of typos and grammatical errors will be in the text, but I try to catch as much as I can while writing.
